Bixby
"A prequel to Lady of the Plantation"

Some men are shaped by the frontier.  Others are destroyed by it.

Born into cruelty in colonial Virginia, Mathias Bixby's childhood is scarred by abuse and silence.  His father, Jamison, believes in fists and weapons as a form of discipline.  By the time America pushes into the 1800's, Bixby has transformed into everything he was taught to fear: a hard-riding, whiskey-soaked, tobacco-chewing cowboy with nothing to lose and a taste for destruction.

Men clutch their guns when they see him coming.  Women whisper his name like a curse.  In every saloon, on every stretch of dirt road, Bixby leaves a trail of broken lives.  Yet beneath that vulgar swagger is a hunger that drives him on an endless manhunt in search of the child he lost long ago.

Bixby is the gritty tale of a man who changes into the plague that he never wanted to become, but was always destined to be.  This is the brutal legend of Mathias Bixby... and the trail of ruin that bears his name.
